C&W invests $100,000

 

Cable & Wireless Panama invested over $100,000 to launch its new email platform, introduced yesterday and supported by Google Apps.

 

The service is exclusive and free for the more than 130,000 C&W internet clients, figure which the telecommunications company is planning to double with this new product by the end of 2010. People will register in the platform by accessing the addresses webmail.cwpanama.net or www.cwpanama.com

 

This technological tool offers several benefits, among them it allows clients having a storage capacity of 7GB and 25MB, which lets the in-box receive heavy emails and documents.

 

Readers from this newspaper (La Prensa) warned that the company is transferring to Google´s date base their clients information, including email content, which is cwpanama.net´s users´ classified and private information. C&W representatives denied these accusations.
